EAGLE GOLD CANINE SERVICES

 

Our Canine division enhances the current services available to our customers in this challenging and ever changing business climate.  We have increased training and improved the services provided by canine officers.  This allows the Company to take advantage of new areas of business in both the rural and the industrial sector.  A well trained canine and its human handler offer an increased deterrent and a cost effective solution in the modern security world.

 

 

The Company operates within the guidelines of:

BS 8517-1:2009 (Part 1: Code of practice for the use or general purpose security dogs)

Eagle gold is proud to announce the first dog handler in the United Kingdom to achieve the National Training Inspectorate for Professional Dog Users Security Patrol Dog and Handler Level 3, and it is the intention of all Eagle Gold’s Handlers to achieve this level within 12 months of service. 

 

SECURITY DOGS, PART 1 CODE OF PRACTISE FOR THE USE OF GENERAL PURPOSE SECURITY DOGS- BS8517/1/2009

All Security Dog Handlers are trained to the National Training Inspectorate for Professional Dog Users Level 2, with the enhancement of training to Level 3.

As with all canine related courses, the dog must meet the necessary criteria before commencement of the course by passing an assessment.

Once the handler has achieved an accreditation, continuous training must be carried out (either on site or at a registered training centre) every three months.

If a handler misses more than one of the training dates the accreditation is deemed void.

The NTIPDU is an EDI approved training provider to deliver the above course comprising of guided learning hours.

The award is made up of three compulsory units;

Roles and responsibilities of a general purpose security dog handler.

Unit two

Controlling a general purpose security dog under operational conditions.

Preparation and operational use or a narcotics detection dog

Unit three

Maintaining the health, well being and safety of a narcotics detection dog 

Eagle Gold also has its own training facilities which are recognised by the NTIPDU.

We train at schools, colleges, industrial/business parks and office block environments’.

We provide these dogs for, social venues; pubs/clubs; factories/offices and place of education; colleges and schools.
